Summer Camp Program

Girls Inc. of Lakeland is  currently enrolling girls who will enroll in grades K-12th for for its summer program.  Space is limited, so applications will be accepted on a first come-first served basis.  Once applications are reviewed, you will receive notification of your child’s enrollment status for the summer.  Fees will not be accepted prior to your notification of acceptance.

PROGRAM FEES
Registration fee for the summer is $20.00 for the first child and $10.00 for each additional child in the same family household. Weekly fees will be $65.00 per child. Fees must be paid at the beginning of each week. Fees must be paid through the agency’s portal unless your child’s fees are different.  If this is the case, it will be discussed with you upon acceptance.  There will be an assessed fee of $2.00 for each dat that fees are late being paid.  Fees are based on five days of care. Your child care fee is payable for each week whether or not your child is present the entire week or any part of the week. Fees will not be refundable nor will credit be given for days that a child is absent. You may request one week of vacation during the summer, for which you will not be charged a fee if you request the vacation in advance.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Girls Inc. will operate Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.  The latest time that your child can be dropped off is 9:00 a.m.  Parents unable to pick up their child/children at closing time will be charge a late fee.  Late fee charges per child are $5.00 for the first 15 minutes past closing and $5.00 for each additional 15 minutes.  Fees must be paid prior to your child/children returning to the center.

1:00 – 2:15 p.m.             Class Time – P.M. Session
2:15 – 2:30 p.m.             Bathroom
2:30 – 3:00 p.m.             Free Time
3:00 – 4:00 p.m.             Snack
4:00 – 5:00 p.m.             Special Activities/Sustained Silent Reading
5:00 – 5:30 p.m.             Clean Up/Prepare for Home

LUNCHES
Lunches and snack will be provided at no added costs.  Girls can also bring their lunch and snack from home.

SUMMER ACTIVITY SCHEDULE

POLICY ON FIELD TRIPS
Girls cannot go on any fieldtrips during their first week at Girls Inc. This allows new girls to get familiar with Girls Inc. rules and staff, and also allows staff time to get familiar with new girls. Fieldtrips must be paid by money orders.  Girls scheduled to go on fieldtrips must be checked in by 8:30 a.m. unless otherwise stated.

DRESS CODE
Proper shoes and dress attire must be worn at all times. Please review the  rules in the application packet with your daughter to ensure that she is dressed appropriately. Of special note, girls should not wear pants with holes, shorts should not be short-shorts, tops should not be strapless or spaghetti straps. Shoes must be closed in from the back and for safety reasons, tennis shoes are suggested especially for outside play. Parents of girls dressed inappropriately will be called to bring them appropriate clothing/shoes.

CELLS PHONES/ MP3 PLAYERS/ iPODS/ALL OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Girls are not permitted to have the items listed above while at Girls Inc. If a girl is found with these items in her possession, the device will be confiscated.

DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP INSTRUCTIONS

  • Parents must abide by our ONE-WAY flow of traffic and STAY IN YOUR VEHICLE at drop-off and pick-up. We know there may be a delay based on traffic and we ask everyone to be patient and comply with our directions.
    • Drop-off will be from 7:30 am-9:00 am.
    • Please do not leave your child until they have been screened and checked in by the staff.
    • Pick-up will be from 4:15 pm-5:45 pm. Whoever is picking up the child must be listed on the contact card, have a sign with their Girls ID# in the car window, and have a valid photo ID.
